Yay! It is finally the weekend!! I am ready to just relax and take it easy this weekend, how about you guys?! It has been HOT in San Diego and I mean REALLY hot these days. I literally can’t go outside without breaking a decent sweat. I secretly love and hate it at the same time. I love it because I can enjoy beach days endlessly without being afraid if it’s going to be “too gloomy” by the water but hate it because, well I can’t live without my A/C on 24/7 and let me tell you my electricity bill is not fun to open these days.

I was looking for a good denim skirt and when I saw this 90s Patched Denim skirt from GUESS I knew it was perfect. It gave me the exact vibe I was going for which is a vintage look that is really trending right now. It has a mix of patches and destroyed details which makes it an immediate favorite of mine. At the same time I had gotten this adorable plaid blouse that had shoulder cutouts and wasn’t like a any blouse I currently had. Since I liked the mix of the patterns I thought the two would pair perfectly together.

I felt the look was missing a little something extra and whenever that happens I usually gravitate towards adding some kind of accessory like a scarf or a hat. For the beach vibe, this wide-brim fedora was so perfect and it is on heavy rotation lately. One thing to keep in mind, not everything in todays look is matchy-matchy. My tip is to not be afraid to mix and match different prints and textures. Sometimes as long as you stay in a relatively similar color palette the mixture of prints does wonders to a look!
