Today I’m excited to share with you all a new hair tutorial and it’s perfect for Christmas and/or New Years! For me, I’m usually busy in the kitchen and with 2 nephews under 2 who LOVE to pull on long hair and put everything in their mouths I am a huge fan of getting my hair up and out of my face on the holidays. Of course, I want to do so in an elegant way that’s not too complicated so today I’ve partnered with Aussie to show you guys an easy holiday updo that’s incredibly easy to recreate! Hope you all enjoy!
STEP 1: First I make sure my hair is clean and dry. For today’s look I used the Aussie Moist Shampoo and Conditioner. Lately with this super dry winter weather this has been working wonders on my hair since it targets dry hair in need of hydration. It is made with Australian Aloe and Jojoba Oil helping moisturize, strengthen and soften hair.
STEP 2: Gather hair into a sleek low ponytail and secure with an elastic (I prefer to use clear elastics).
STEP 3: Using the Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel smooth out the ponytail so it is super sleek and get rid of any flyways. This gel helps give definition and hold to any hairstyle — and, it smells amazing!
STEP 4: Create a traditional three-strand braid with the hair from the ponytail and secure with another clear elastic.
STEP 5: Create a bun shape, or (how I prefer) elongated bun like the one above by coiling the braid and pinning it with large bobby pins. If you need to smooth any additional pieces out go back in with a little more of the Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Gel. Voila!
