One thing I have gotten asked about virtually since the beginning of my blogging journey is how I find content to write about everyday. Most people will say “I don’t get it,” or “I’d run out of things to talk about,” or “How do you know if people will like it,” and so on and so forth. Truth is, I never know if people are going to like/dislike topics I write about but that’s the beauty of having a platform like this. I have chosen to put my life out here and be open and honest with you guys and well, I’ve learned that you just cannot please everyone. With that being said, maybe I can touch a few people here and there and that makes it all worth it.
When it comes to choosing content to write about everyday, it can be either a piece of cake or a huge task at hand. Kind of depends on the mood I’m in, if that makes sense. There are days where ideas just flow continuously and then there are other times when I stare at my computer screen as if I’m looking straight into a black hole and nothing (I repeat NOTHING) comes out.
I used to speak purely about the fashion and “what I was wearing” which is obviously a majority of what my blog consists of but then I started to realize there’s just SO much more I wanted to share with you guys like personal thoughts, opinions, advice and more which is why I write so many personal posts and such. The last thing I ever want to appear to be is someone who has it all or has it all together because that is furthest from the truth. Although I’m 30, I still consider myself a kid at times and I’m still learning every damn day.
So with that being said, I always say whether you have a fashion blog, a food blog, travel blog or whatever the hell it may be, look at it as a space to share more about you and connect with your readers. I have invested a good portion of my life into this blog and you all have invested some time in getting to know me and I think its important to grow together.
Always be true to yourself and share whatever may come to your mind because chances are there are quite a few people out there feeling the exact way you are. Just a little thought to get you goin on this Monday…
xoxo

I hate writers block but it happens to all of us… It’s just impossible to always have great ideas and be able to put them into an interesting and valid post. Sometimes I struggle more, sometimes less but it’s just something that can’t be avoided. 😛
You are looking so glamorous and stylish in this outfit! I’m loving your jacket and earrings!

First of all, I LOVE your outfit – that blazer is gorgeous! Secondly, this is such a great post and I relate to it so much. My best friend came on board to my blog in January and it’s been so great sharing this space with her. It’s much easier with two of us but when it was just me I was constantly getting burnt out trying to come up with new content. We’re now taking a different approach that I hope we can continue for the long term!
