Is it just me or do sunglass trends seem to change WAY too fast from season to season? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining but still — it’s kind of getting expensive, right?! Just a few months ago I feel the micro sunglass trend was SO in and now it’s hot to have those major “shield” type sunnies. I honestly can’t keep up. Thankfully however, I have done my research and rounded up the hottest sunglass trends you need this year.
Shield Sunglasses
Shield sunglasses provide the most protection, which means they also cover a lot of the face. This is the style I’m wearing in today’s post and to be honest, I never would have thought I could pull the look off but I’m kind of digging it now! These sunnies I’m wearing are from Quay available here.
Translucent Lenses
Obviously these don’t provide too much protection but they are more for looks. Think of them as more of an accessory, such as a necklace, than a purely functional wardrobe piece.
Oversized Glam Shades
Think of these kind of like a Vogue jet-setter look. Bigger is always better with this style. It’s a style that is great for making even your basic outfits in jeans and athleisure wear look more pulled together. I especially like them with a casual airport outfit because they instantly glam up the look.
Modern Wayfarer
The modern wayfarer is slightly larger and more extended at the temples than previous versions, which is a bonus on those mornings after the night before, when you would rather hide from the sun.
Do you guys have a favorite style right now when it comes to sunnies? Let me know, I’d love to hear!
