Ok so you guys know how I am about staying productive and all, I talk about it a lot on IG and such but I thought I should round up some of my favorite accessories to improve your productive life and some items I absolutely swear by. Here we go:
Paper Planner: I mentioned this the other day on instagram and although I love going digital in a lot of aspects of my life, the traditional paper planner will always be something I can’t quite get rid of. To me, I’ve always needed to write things down with a pen and there is no better satisfaction than getting to cross items off my list as they are completed. One of my favorite brand of planners out there are the ban.do planners (in particular their large spiral bound planners). I like using their larger sized planners since I always have a ton of stuff to jot down and I work from home so I don’t necessarily need to carry it around with me. One big thing that drew me to their planners was that they are spiral bound so when you are writing on the left side of the page you aren’t struggling. If you’ve ever written in a planner/journal you know what I’m talking about!
External Hard Drive: I don’t know what I did the days without an external hard drive. Lucky for me, my photographer told me exactly what to buy and I’ve been using it ever since. There are many external hard drives, but the one I use is this one. I now don’t have to keep all my photos and important documents on my computer and just keep it all on my hard drive that way if anything ever happens, I have all my important documents backed up.
Portable Phone Charger: Anyone who knows me knows I don’t go anywhere without a portable phone charger. I work on my phone, take photos on my phone, text, email, and who knows what so my battery tends to run out fast. I have always been a lover of all mophie products (and still am) but I recently discovered the myCharge portable chargers and I’m even more obsessed than I used to be. The reason being is that you don’t need ANY external wires etc.. It has literally everything you need built in. It includes an integrated iPhone and Android cable as well as a pop out wall prongs so you can just charge it and go. Genius.
Time Cube: If you are like me and tend to get distracted or want to make sure to designate a certain amount of time for each task, then you should think about using a time cube. You can set the time you want for each task and voila, something to help keep you on track.
Apple Watch: So I know this one is a bit on the pricier end but I love having an Apple Watch. I use it all the time, especially when I work out. I like that I can have it on, do laundry, clean the house and work without being distracted from my phone. If I put my phone somewhere else I realize I don’t reach for it and it sets my mind at ease because if I get a text message or call, it will vibrate on my arm so I am never missing anything important.
Wireless Printer: Okay this might sound like a weird one to add in here, but OMG the day I upgraded to a wireless printer, my world changed. I may be late to the game and this may be something that everyone has already but if you don’t you seriously need to get one. It makes such a big difference because if I’m on my laptop from anywhere in the house and an important document comes up that I have to print, I literally just press print and bam, it prints it right on out. So easy and that way I don’t have to deal with any additional cords and such.
Amazon Echo: Obsessed with this thing. I can ask it to add to my “to-do” list, shopping list, ask for the news, and even order my regular amazon products just by speaking to it. I also love the timer function when I’m cooking!
Roomba: This may be the MOST amazing purchase I’ve ever made in my life. No joke. If you’re spending more time at home, your home will accumulate more dust and debris. Plus, I have 3 dogs and I’m incredibly OCD about having a clean hair-free home. Roomba is literally the best thing in the world. I set it to go every day (however you don’t need to do run it everyday) and it takes care of the vacuuming for you. Also, theirs some weird satisfaction I get out of seeing all the gunk it picks up daily. A little pricey but seriously SO worth it.
Ring Doorbell: After purchasing my new home, I was adamant about making it as much a “smart home” as I could and the Ring doorbell was among one of the first things I purchased. It still to this day is one of the best features of my home. When someone rings your doorbell, Ring lets you see who’s there. It’s helpful when you work from home and want to see who is at your door and if its something you need to check or not.
Do you guys have any “must” have productivity products I need to get my hands on?! Let me know!
