An Easy Remedy to Dry Skin

So it’s been about a month since I have been using the Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer and if you guys remember I wrote up a blog post about my initial thoughts here. I wanted to come back and recap if anything has changed or what I’ve been liking/disliking after using it for about a month now.

Like I said in my previous post (and other posts in the past) my skin is incredibly dry and always has been. However, I feel as though as I get older it tends to get even more dry which is why the Esthetician in me is desperate to find products that actually WORK. I’ve found products that I love to use on my skin and that I truly believe in, however it’s been quite some time that I haven’t found body lotions that actually help keep me moisturized for long periods of time. Like I said, I recently discovered wet skin moisturizers and in particular the current brand I’m using (and have been for a month) is Curél’s Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer. Within this month of using it, I’ve noticed a few big changes that I am loving and decided what better way than to share with all of you who may suffer from the same issues I have.

First of all, I will be dead honest and tell you guys I was a bit hesitant about applying a product on wet skin. In my head I was thinking, how can this actually work? But then again, as an Esthetician I always direct people to apply their face moisturizer onto damp skin so it kind of made sense! The Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer is activated by water and when you apply it immediately after showering, your skin cells have a chance to expand and open from the steam and heat. This in turn provides and easy pathway for the moisturizer to penetrate into the skin. It’s seriously as simple as that.

Second thing I love about it? It’s SO easy to apply. Because it is designed to work on wet skin, it applies so quickly and easily without any rubbing to absorb. It doesn’t feel greasy (which is amazing) and gives immediate relief. And lastly — it saves so much time. I know this sounds silly but common everyone could use a little extra time in the morning. Because you apply on wet skin, you skip the whole drying off before applying lotion and waiting for it to absorb part. It makes my life easier by far!

So there you have it – my one month thoughts after trying the Curél Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer! I highly recommend you guys give the wet skin moisturizer trend a try and see for yourself. I kind of think this is the new way to go when it comes to body lotions and I’m excited to see what other people have to say about it as well!

  6. I used it a few times and it does work wonders. My skin is extra dry during the winter, so I can’t wait to see how well it works during what I believe is going to be a harsh winter.

  12. Hmmm. This product sounds very promising. My entire body transforms into an ancient Egyptian mummy every winter. I would prefer to prevent the transformation this yearand remain among the living for a change.

  13. As I’m getting older I’ve noticed my skin being drier, more wrinkles and less elasticity. I would really love to try this. I have always applied lotion after showering, but it might be time for a change in lotions!! Thank you

  14. If you happen to have the luxury of residing in a State that concludes that the days of warm sunshine is gone once again for 3months,(LOL!) -then you are quite familiar with dry and itchy skin. You’ve tried countless brands, with nothing to relieve your discomfort – all you have are multitudes of jars/tubes of dissatisfied moisturizer…WELL LOOK NO FURTHER! Curel lotions/moisturizers work deep into the dermal skin level. I look forward to try Curel’s lotion used in the shower/bath, Since working well in the epidermal skin layer, then I can be assured that Curel merely designed a perfected product with the purpose of achieving supple skin.

  23. Looks and sounds like an amazing product, I’m planning on trying this product, going to buy it for my sister who suffers from eczema to try and I plan on trying it also just to keep my skin hydrated over the winter months.

  36. I am definitely going to try Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturizer. I have dry skin and can never seem to find a cure. I live in Wisconsin and the cold winters leaves my skin in real need of moisture.

  49. Winter always takes a huge toll on my skin. I have a hard time finding something that will moisturize and not irritate my sensative skin. This sounds like something that may do the trick. I am absolutely willing to give it a try

  50. I will have to try this because I too have always suffered with very dry and cracked skin and I believe that this Curel Hydra Therapy Wet Skin Moisturiser is going to work out for me.
