Okay guys — it’s about to get REAL, again. I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be which is why this subject is near and dear to my heart.
The dreaded word every woman hates to hear — Cellulite.
For those of you who get depressed about it, don’t worry so much. We are all beautiful in our own ways. I have it and hey most women do EVEN supermodels. So how to get rid of cellulite is the question we all want to know.
Unfortunately for us lucky women, there is no permanent cure for cellulite, trust me — I’ve tried. What you can do however is reduce the appearance of it which is what I’m here to talk about today.
Cellulite is usually found on the hips and thighs and is caused by the fat deposits under the kin pushing up towards the surface of the skin. I feel like a common mistake women make is thinking that cellulite happens to women who are overweight. That is NOT true. It happens to many women who are considered thin as well and your lifestyle has a big part of how to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Here are a few key ways to reduce the appearance of cellulite:
*Reduce your total body fat
Cellulite is fat deposits under your skin, and although this type of fat is not harmful to your health, many women don’t like the look of it. The best way to reduce the appearance of cellulite is to reduce the amount of fat you have.
*Eat Clean
Make some important lifestyle changes that will provide your body with all of the nutrients it requires. A diet full of vegetables, fruit, fiber, lean protein, and healthy fats will make wonders to your skin and the appearance of cellulite. As you guys know, I’ve been on a health kick lately and this has definitely changed my body.
*Exercise
Being physically active will help reduce the appearance of cellulite by improving your muscle tone and circulation, as well as firming up the skin.
*Hydrate
Hydration is really important to improve circulation, but also to keep your skin healthy. If you are dehydrated your cellulite might appear to be worse, so make sure to fill up that water glass. This is one point that I really need to work on — I don’t drink nearly the amount of water that I should.
*Use Anti-Cellulite Products
As with anything, products can make a world’s difference. Clarins recently introduces a new anti-cellulite contouring expert that helps minimize the appearance of cellulite while promoting a smoother, firmer silhouette. I’ve been using it lately and I’m obsessed with it. This new and advanced cream-gel formula helps visibly reduce the stubborn cellulite that just will not go away no matter how many squats and minutes on the stair master we do. My skin has been looking firmer and smoother in a few weeks. It’s now a ritual when I get out of the shower!
You can find the Clarins Body Fit Contouring Expert here and it’s 15% off!
Always remember we ALL have this issue so don’t ever let it get you down!! It’s part of life and hey, it only makes us more beautiful in our own way.
Big thanks to Clarins for sponsoring this post.
