Sometimes you need to just let loose and have a little fun. Belmont Park is in Mission Beach in San Diego and pretty much gives you exactly that without having to stray too far. Its steps from the beach and you have all the fun amusement-like attractions in a small space. Think cotton candy, henna tattoos, games, prizes and even a mini roller coaster. I’m not much of a roller coaster gal but I will say, I have been on it a few times in my day and it gets me every time.

PS – Word to the wise — anyone know how messy cotton candy is?! Holy cow. I literally got it everywhere, fingers, hair, I even have a classic photo of it stuck to my shoe. Good times. Maybe I should have stuck to popcorn. Noted.
