Best Matte Lipstick

Lately, the craze is matte lipstick.

I guess, we can all thank Kylie Jenner for that.

Not going to lie, I kind of jumped on the bandwagon after seeing her pics and falling for all the colors she was wearing. Then, obviously had to go and buy her lip kit which was not an easy task seeing as how they are ALWAYS sold out. Even before that, I was buying a bunch of matte lipsticks and I was hooked. Today I wanted to round up my Kylie Matte Lip picks for you guys plus one awesome Smashbox color I’m currently obsessed with!

Now lets get to it…

The Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick is a great matte lipstick and comes in a variety of colors. I think I may have the whole collection and if you guys want to see a video I did wearing a bunch of the colors check it out on my YouTube channel here. It really does what it says — stays on all day and I’m addicted to a few of the colors in particular this first color below (Miss Conduct). It is such a beautiful deep red color that is so gorgeous for going out at night, I think!

Now onto the Kylie Matte Lipsticks.

I’m literally obsessed with her line! I have to say, I was a little skeptical, because whenever celebrities come out with products I have to admit I usually am disappointed. They never are quite up to par in my book and I feel like the quality is never fantastic but it just has the “celebrity” name, if that makes sense. This however, is completely different.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that right now the Kylie Lipsticks are my favorite matte lipsticks of the moment. Let me tell you why. First of all — I have had a hard time finding particular colors I like. I am more of a pink/nude type of gal and usually I find a lot of browns and matte colors that I’m not in love with or think go with my skin tone. I purchased these 3 to try by chance and  loved every single one of them.

Next plus is they are actually very matte. Have you guys ever gone to buy a matte lipstick but it turns out to not be as matte as you wanted? So frustrating! These turn immediately matte and don’t give you any weird streaks or lines that some I have found do. Third, they come with a lip liner!! Seriously??? Thats like gold right there. Every color you get will have its own liner. So I line and then fill in my lips with the liner then apply 1 coat of the lipstick for a perfect application.

Only downfall? They are always sold out! I already want to purchase more but it’s so difficult to buy them!
