Date Night Prep with Nad’s | Valentine’s Day

Ladies! It’s time we get down to business and start talking about a little date night prep — especially with Valentine’s Day right around the corner! Now let me be honest – hair is not an attractive thing unless it is on your head. Laugh all you want but as a Licensed Esthetician, I’m a firm believer that the female body should be hair free.

So in honor of Valentine’s Day I’m going to be talking a little date night prep with one of my favorite at home wax methods – Nad’s Exfoliating Wax Strips! Heck — even if you’re single (like me) get hair free for yourself!! I celebrate Valentine’s Day every year with a bottle of wine and a fun movie. Don’t judge me – it’s actually way more fun. Just don’t tell any of the guys I’ve ever dated I said that.

To me, it’s important to pamper yourself, take care of yourself and just make sure you’re always looking good, even if it’s for YOU! Because at the end of the day, you want to love yourself, right?! And hey, if you have a date then there’s an added bonus.

So now let’s talk about our date night prep – (or let’s just say woman prep). I’m freaking loving the new Nad’s Exfoliating Body Wax Strips which are available at Target. Since we can’t all make it to the salon it’s amazing to have an alternative at home system that works and this is the one. Again, since I’m an esthetician I’m going to get into all the nitty gritty facts on you. Before you wax, if you exfoliate your skin you will get an AMAZING smooth finish because it helps to rejuvenate your skin making it look and feel vibrant again. Buffing before waxing with Nad’s XFol™ Exfoliating Strip helps free ingrown hair trapped under the skin. Plus, then the wax itself will remove all the extra dead skin cells and you will have that soft amazing skin you always wanted.

What’s great about these Nad’s wax strips is that there’s an exfoliator on the outside and a wax strip on the inside. I know, you’re probably thinking Olia, what you talking about, “ain’t no one got time to exfoliate AND wax!” But don’t worry, these wax strips are a one stop shop. You just exfoliate with one side then wax with the other. It’s THAT simple.

Each Exfoliating Wax Strip features Nad’s patented XFol™ technology, scientifically developed for the very best smooth skin results. The unique exfoliating surface on the outside of the strip buffs away the build-up of dead skin. The dermatologically tested and premium quality wax on the inside of the strip removes short hair from 1.5mm (0.06in) long, on the legs, arms and bikini area.

How to Use:

Using the coarse outer surface of the strip, gently rub the area to be waxed in a circular motion. Rub strips between palms to warm wax, then slowly separate the Exfoliating Wax Strip into two individual strips. Apply strip with firm pressure and smooth over 3-4 times in direction of hair growth. Holding the skin taut with one hand, quickly pull strip off in the opposite direction of hair growth, keeping it close and parallel to the skin’s surface. To finish your complete at-home waxing experience, use the included Nad’s Post Wax Calming Oil Wipes to soothe skin and remove any residue.

Voila!
