No matter how old you are, where you come from or what you do for a living, we all have one thing in common and that is a desire to be successful. I get asked a lot how I started this blog and how I got to where I am today and although I’ve talked about that in the past, I’ve never actually spoken about how it is I feel like success comes along.
Now, success can be SO many different things but most people would say success goes hand in hand with wealth, fame and power. For as long as I can remember I’ve grown up with the desire to be something and earn for myself. Growing up, my mother showed me a lot of what it is to be an incredibly hard worker and I always strived for that. I always grew up knowing I wanted to achieve success so that I could live a comfortable life and have financial freedom. With that being said, it does not always come easy. Today I wanted to talk about a few things I did in my life that I owe to where I am today and a lot of it is all in your mindset.
Think Big.
What is it that you want most in life? Is it love, is it money, is it a home or more? What if it is all of the above? Well then, I have said this in the past but I believe YOU are the only person to fault in your attempt to achieve those dreams. A lot of the time we set our standards too low or don’t believe we can do better so we don’t ever aim for it. I’ve always been one to give myself goals and dream BIG. Hey, sometimes I say I’m going to become a multi-millionaire and well while that might be a bit far fetched, in my opinion it’s important to put those thoughts out there and aim for what you really want in life. When it comes to other things in life like love or a relationship, always think about what you want in a partner and don’t just settle because you are a afraid to be alone. We are capable of so much and people often limit themselves.
Find what you love to do and DO IT.
A wise woman once said, “You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job and not be paid for it.” I’m going to be honest, this hits the nail on the chalkboard for me all the way! I got my college degree in Accounting back in the day only to realize after working in the field for a few years that I was miserable and hated it. I kept thinking to myself, how can I have a career that I hate the rest of my life?? I knew I didn’t want to just settle, so I pursued other dreams that eventually lead me to this blog. My passion for this blog has only grown more and more since I started it 4 years ago as a hobby. Since then, I’ve learned when you love what you do, the rewards are endless.
Don’t be afraid of failure.
Do you guys even want to know how many times I’ve failed in things? I won’t bore you with it but trust me, we all have those moments. Failure is a blessing in a way because you can learn from those mistakes and always start over. Failure is a thing that is inevitable and until you are comfortable with failing a few times then you may never be entirely successful.
Always maintain a positive attitude.
You’ve probably heard it before but being happy and content with life is all a state of mind. If you choose to always stay positive and happy, you will attract more of these characteristics into your life. It’s called the Law of Attraction and I swear it works! I’m not going to say I never have a bad day — of course I do! But, it’s important to always try to see the positive in every situation. Remember, you always have a choice in which thoughts to focus on — the ones that will make you emotionally stuck (fear, doubts) or the ones that will move you forward.
Don’t let discouragement get to you.
If I had listened to all the discouraging words that came my way, I probably wouldn’t be where I am today. Never let discouragement get to you — in fact, do what I continue to do and use it as a push to be even better and prove people wrong who ever doubted you.

Well well well,
I’m actually doing a study about the actual success frame of mind(which is being comfortable with yourself so that what does come to you is a enhancement) and what subconsciously you do is more valuable than anything. My practice has been the first 20 minutes I wake up and 20 minutes before I sleep going over affirmations – it’s pretty powerful
