So I know, I am usually here talking about beauty, fashion and all that but today I decided why not take a step back and just have a day off? I feel like sometimes as bloggers we stick to so much of the “work” stuff and don’t always get too personal but I love to let you guys in on my life – I feel like I have an open diary for the world to judge me on but hey, that’s ok!
Prior to finding my life and career as a blogger, I spent my days at a 9-5 job as an accountant and just well, not fulfilled. I began realizing, if you can’t love your life everyday, what’s the point? We are put on this earth once and why not make the best of it? I literally spent most my days miserable, counting down the hours & days until it was the weekend and then I realized it just wasn’t how I wanted to live my life anymore. Long story short, I figured if at that time (no husband, no kids etc..) wasn’t a good time to explore new opportunities then when would be?
Never. So, I changed my life.
I have to say, it probably was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made thus far. I made a few other career choices which eventually lead me to blogging such as became an Esthetician and then eventually started this little web site 🙂
The freedom that I’ve been able to have since starting my own career has been nothing short of a dream. It’s been so fulfilling and words cannot express the extreme gratitude I feel every day I wake up and get to live the life I want. The reason I say this is not to push anyone to quit their jobs or to start their own businesses or to become a blogger or ANYTHING of the sort but it’s to encourage everyone to do what makes you happy in life. If that means a new career, a new hobby or heck getting a new haircut – then do it! Life is too short to spend wondering what it could be like, right?
Often times we are just scared of the unknown.

I always say that everything one wants is one the other side of fear and that as long as we don’t try something, we won’t know was it or not going to turn out how we have hoped it to be. I’m so glad that you did “pulled the plug” and had trust in yourself. Keep up with the great work beauty. 🙂

Thanks for sharing! Kudos to following a passion rather than comfort and safety in a job you hated.
