Healthier Hair with L’Oreal Elvive

Protecting your hair against split ends and heat damage and trying to keep your locks looking their best should always be at the top of your list. I love trying new products and finding ways to make my everyday routine a little easier.

I recently started hearing a lot of buzz about the new L’Oréal® Paris Elvive collection and knew I had to give it a try myself. I went to Walgreens and picked up the products there. The three products I tested out were the Total Repair 5 Protein Recharge Treatment, Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm and the Extraordinary Oil Treatment. Here are my thoughts:

Total Repair 5 Protein Recharge Treatment: This is a leave-in hair treatment for damaged hair which instantly charges your hair and fights the 5 signs of damage. Hair is made of protein and with all our daily brushing and heat tools we tend to do a lot of damage to it. This treatment is specifically a protein hair treatments which helps nourish with each use. The way that I use it is after washing my hair, I apply a small amount to my wet hair and then just style as usual. It’s that easy!

Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm: I absolutely love a good hair mask. This is a rinse-out hair mask for damaged hair and I can completely tell a difference in my hair after using this just one time. What is super impressive is that it not only repairs up to one year of damage, it also smooths your hair in just one use, so if you’ve been feeling like your hair needs a little pick-me-up then this may be the mask for you! It helps with the 5 signs of damage – split ends, weakness, roughness, dullness and dehydration. I use it in the shower after washing my hair like normal, then I apply the mask on my hair. Technically you can leave it on 3-5 minutes but I typically leave it on for as long as I’m in the shower finishing up washing myself, shaving etc.

Extraordinary Oil Treatment: This is an amazing lightweight oil that nourishes and transforms dry, lifeless hair into soft and lustrous. I absolutely love using this stuff to keep my hair looking its best. I actually use this oil multiple times during my hair styling process. I apply a bit to my hair when it is wet prior to blow drying because I feel like it helps keep my hair protected and nourished. I also apply a bit more once my hair is dry and I start styling it, focusing more on the ends to keep everything smooth and shiny. Works like a charm every time!
