Healthier looking skin is usually at the top of every woman’s beauty wish list, am I right?! As a Licensed Esthetician, I’m a strong advocate that taking care of your skin is SO important and it starts with a good cleansing routine. As an esthetician, I can’t even begin to tell you all how many of my clients would tell me that they would not wash their face at night or even remove their makeup! At first I couldn’t believe it but after hearing it over and over, it became a new norm to me. I started to realize that so many women either A) didn’t know much about skincare and the damage they were doing long term by not removing makeup and cleansing their face properly and B) were too lazy to actually do it because they always saw it as a big huge process. Honestly ladies, it really doesn’t have to be! I think in our minds we make it out to be a bigger thing than it actually is and if you stick to it you will see the incredible benefits you are doing for yourself. Keep in mind as well — your skin does most of its rejuvenating at night time! So if you’re not washing at night and moisturizing you’re really not helping it at all! Leaving makeup on your skin will clog your pores causing breakouts and such so usually when I get home for the day I just wash my face! That way I don’t have an excuse when its late and I’m too lazy because I’ve already done it!
