My Kitchen Remodel

If you guys have been following me on Snapchat then you probably have seen the past couple weeks I went through a big kitchen remodel! It was such a big project but I had been wanting to do it for YEARS since I bought my place and I finally did it! I was so lucky to partner with IKEA for my kitchen remodel and am seriously obsessed with the final outcome!

My old kitchen was exactly that — OLD. Drawers required both hands to pull open and I lost so much storage space just because I couldn’t organize anything properly. I was kind of dreading the process because it meant my old kitchen had to basically be gutted and I would be out of a kitchen for about 2 weeks BUT I decided it would be worth it in the end.

Boy was I right.

Seeing as how I am a huge IKEA fan, I decided to go through them for everything and the process was as painless as it could be. They handled everything from having their contractors design my new kitchen to all the install and such. My old kitchen was all white, but for my new one I wanted to go for a combo of this light wood color & white to make for a very modern and different look. I thought it would give a twist to a brand new kitchen and in my opinion it worked. Since my home is filled with lots of white, I thought it would be nice to break it up a bit. The color combo was amazing and everything was customizable.

For customization, I did under cabinet lighting and separate tile backsplash on one accent wall and it really added that much more sophistication. I also updated my kitchen faucet to a brand new one from IKEA as well. Once the kitchen was completed I got all my kitchen organizers from IKEA as well. What I love is that when you get a kitchen from there, all their organizers fit their drawers EXACTLY. I literally customized it how I wanted it. I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and although I have a relatively smaller kitchen, they made my small kitchen look and feel like a designer home!
