There’s something I just love about an all blush ensemble. It’s flirty and feminine and a great color for every woman, I feel. I recently found this off the shoulder dress from ASOS and loved the look of it. First of all, it’s made of a lightweight fabric so it’s perfect for the summer and doesn’t have you feeling heavy at all. Great for those summer nights. Another thing is it has gentle pleating which gives it more movement all together.

I decided the pair the look with this envelope clutch bag with oversized stud and match it all with some of my favorite gold jewelry. Simplicity here was key and I decided to leave my neckline bare to show and highlight the focal point of the dress itself!

In other news – here’s a little update on life! For those of you who follow me on Instagram you probably have seen that the past few weeks I have been battling with not knowing what to do with a stray cat that wandered into my life and home! I did the right thing (of course – because I’m a total sucker for animals) and took her in! Never in a million years would I have imagined I would have a cat because trust me – I’m not a cat person…

… I guess I am now!

When she came into my life she was teeeeenie tiny – literally skin and bones and well, still is – but I’m doing what I can for her now. Pretty much the pet store has become my 2nd home. I’ve taken her to the vet, scanned her for a microchip (none), even called the numbers posted around for a lost cat and had no responses. So long story short I’ve done blood work, tests, medication and such and well… she officially got her collar and tag last night. For about 3 weeks I’ve been calling her the “cat” and she finally has a name – Mya. She’s not healthy, actually very ill so I don’t know how long I’ll have her but I’m going to make every second of it worth it for her because animals need loving too!

Merlot is not too happy about the new addition to the fam..
