Today’s post is all about being stylish while still having functionality. For any of you reading that are bloggers, photographers or even perhaps an aspiring one of the two this post may be a bit helpful! For the longest time I have always been one to carry my camera around on my shoulder with no bag, usually forgetting a memory card, my notes, or something else because I’m usually juggling a million things at the same time. I thought, with my upcoming trip to NYFW, wouldn’t it be great to have a camera bag that can help me simplify everything?
Enter in Ona Bags.
Having done my fair share of research (Instagram and all of course) I came across Ona which immediately caught my attention because the style of their bags looked like something I would totally wear. It wasn’t some typical ugly and distracting camera bag. Common, you guys know exactly what I’m talking about. It was actually a gorgeous bag with style and function!
Now I’ve been there many times – trying to stuff my camera into a non-camera bag like my oversized purse which is totally NOT meant for that purpose but we make due, right?
Bad idea.
After learning my lesson the hard way, my camera came out with a few dings and scratches on it and I learned never to do that again…… Ever. So with many trips around the corner I decided it was time for a change.
The particular bag I got was The Leather Brixton. I decided on this one because knowing that I was going to be heading to NYFW, I wanted to make sure I had enough room to hold and store everything within the bag which I definitely could. It is a full-grain Italian-tanned leather and you really can just feel the amazing quality of the leather with a simple touch. The Brixton is designed to carry a camera, two to three lenses and up to a 13-inch laptop. It has four removable dividers that allow you to customize the interior and two front pockets that provide room for your lens caps, batteries and small personal items. If I am not carrying around extra lenses I have plenty of other things I find to fit right in there!
This bag was so handy during my trip to NYFW as we were filming video, taking photos and switching back and forth between lenses as well as running to and from meetings and shows and needed something help store all the essentials while looking like a million bucks still.
Also, if this Ona bag doesn’t seem right for you, they have SO many more (bigger and smaller) and a wide variety of colors and textures so that you are sure to find the right one. Also, if you’re just starting off with photography and/or blogging and don’t have many lenses they make a smaller bag (The Bowery) which I also love. That particular style can carry your camera and 1 extra lense comfortably. It’s much more compact so depending which type of bag you are looking for, those two are among my favs!
I can’t thank Ona enough for helping make my trip to NYC that much better with ease and most importantly – STYLE!
