Happy Monday guys! I’m currently writing this from my bed in the Dominican Republic where it’s super hot and humid and well this post is far from it. Before I left I worked on this look which was one of my latest favs because it’s so “grown up.” Haha!

I don’t know, something about a pencil skirt I’ve always wanted to pull off. Like a sophisticated business woman or something. Well, the long awaited day has come and I’m loving it. I always thought I couldn’t pull off a pencil skirt look because I’m on the more petite side at only about 5’3 (5’4 on a good day). But as soon as I saw this skirt, I knew I had to at least try it. As soon as I received it, it totally fit like a glove and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at all!

By the way — I have been seeing Capes and Shawls everywhere this fall so it’s a total must if you can! One, you can wear them many different ways if they aren’t too heavy which is really fun as well.
