One of the biggest tell-tale signs of aging is that dull skin color and brown spots caused by sun. Let’s be honest, spots are only cute on Dalmatians, not your face. As an Esthetician, one of the biggest questions I would get from clients was how to get rid of hyperpigmentation which can be caused by sun, hormones, acne scars, etc… Having an olive skin tone myself, I scar VERY easily so I’m actually always dealing with evening out my skin tone and on the hunt for new products that can do this.
Enter in Lytera 2.0® Pigment Correcting Serum by SkinMedica®.
Lytera® 2.0 is a correcting serum with brightening agents to help reduce the appearance of brown spots and brighten the skin. However, I felt a little dry when I first started using it so I say moisturize a little bit more than you usually would when on it.
Lytera® 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum is formulated to address even the most stubborn discoloration so you don’t have to be nervous. Improvements are usually seen in as early at 2 weeks but as you use it for a longer period of time the results only get better.
For those of you hesitant about chemicals and such — it’s non-hydroquinone, retinol-free, paraben-free, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic formulation.
So what do I think about it?!
I’ve been loving it so far! I’ve been using it a few weeks now and I’ve definitely noticed an improvement in the appearance of my dark spots and hyperpigmentation. I use it about 1-2 times a day although I’ll admit sometimes I forget so I know if I was a little more consistent I’d get even better results! The ingredients are gentle but very effective. I would recommend this product for anyone who has dark spots from sun/age/hormones or to anyone who wants brighter/more even looking skin. You do have to get this product from a doctor’s office so just head to their website here to see how you can purchase it for yourself!
Hope you guys enjoy it as well and let me know if you have any questions!!
