How to Choose the Proper Blog Content..

I recently got the request of “How to Choose the Proper Blog Content” from you guys when I asked what topics you wanted to read about so I thought I’d write about it today! Blog content can be one of those things that’s well, quite challenging to say the least. I always get asked how I think of ideas every single day of something new to talk about and the truth is, I have no flipping clue. I’ve always tried to put down into words how it comes to me and honestly, there’s no real “solution” if that makes sense. Plus, is there really a need to be “proper” when it comes to blogging?

I didn’t think so…

Blogging became a passion of mine about 4 years ago or so. I started it purely for fun and with that means you create content for YOU and whoever decides to follow along your journey. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I never looked at blogging as a “chore” or “job” EVER — it was more like something that allowed me to create and be who my everyday self was and have somewhere to share it.

With that means there was no one ever telling me what I could and could not talk about and to this day, it is the same which is why I continue to love it so much. If you guys come here regularly and read my posts then you know I don’t shy away from talking about a variety of different things. Heck, just a few weeks ago I was talking about how it’s impossible to date these days. To me, inspiration comes from everywhere and I don’t limit myself to one topic. I try to think of topics that we all are thinking of but never actually talk about. I mean, why not?? I don’t see a reason and being anyone else other than someone who is REAL and can relate to every single one of you. So, if I think men these days suck, I’ll blog about it. If it’s about how to be successful in business, I’ll blog about it. Heck, if it’s about how to stay in on a Friday night while everyone is getting wasted, I’ll blog about it.

Never get caught up in what you THINK a blog needs to be about because I guarantee you will be more successful going with your gut and trusting your instincts.

I don’t know if that necessarily answers the question about how I find my blog content or not but long story short, I’m inspired by everyday life. I ask you guys all the time what you want to hear and read about. Sometimes I’ll be laying on my couch watching a movie and it reminds me of a topic I want to blog about. It’s honestly random occurrences like this that work for me best. The fact that I love what I do and have a platform that I can come to and vent about my daily struggles, tips and overall LIFE means the world and to be honest, I think that’s all readers want – REALNESS in the end.

Am I right?
