I’ll admit it, I have this weird thing with flowers. It’s an obsession. I feel like men will never quite understand why the woman mind loves flowers but there’s just something about them that just make our hearts just.. well, HAPPY. Trust me, I never used to be like this. I mean, when I was younger, I could never figure out why in the world adults would spend a crazy amount of money on flowers only for them to die a week later. That is, until I became an adult myself.

Ironic, right?!

Nowadays I feel like it’s such a thing of the past for people do the old school gesture such as get someone a bouquet of flowers or stop by a flower stand or good old flower shop and put together a beautiful flower arrangement and I still get a thrill out of it. It’s almost like we’ve gotten into a weird grind of well, “what can I amazon prime that will get here in 2 hours to make up for it?” But really, there’s some weird sensation that I just love and the thought of someone doing it goes a heck of a long way.

So moving on, people always ask me, “who got you those flowers,” and I usually respond back, “ME!” Is it weird? Am I strange? I don’t know but do I care? NAH!

So here are 10 reasons why you should always buy yourself flowers and I promise you won’t regret it 😉

1- You deserve them. For special occasions, for Mondays, for Tuesdays, and because you got up this morning.

2- To remind yourself that life can be hard at times and well, you’re doing a really great job.

3- They will brighten up your living space, and you can’t help but feel like a put together grown ass woman when you have a vase of (living) flowers in your room. That is, until they die….

4- Because you walked past them and they looked so pretty.

5- You don’t need to wait for anyone else to buy them for you.

6- Flowers are beautiful, and you always deserve more beauty in your life. I mean, who doesn’t love beauty?

7- Because it’s a great way to be kind to yourself.

9- Flowers are one of those completely unnecessary, totally optional things in life, and sometimes it’s good to do unnecessary things because they make you happy.
