Okay real talk guys – if I hear one more person snapchat, IG or talk about Coachella I’m going to pull my hair out. I’m not against it nor am I one to judge it in the first place but what gets me is how many people have FOMO about not getting invited, not going and over all not being “cool” because everyone else will be there. So today’s post is for all you (like me) that will NOT be attending Coachella and here are all the reasons you shouldn’t have any FOMO over it:
– You don’t have to feel like a sweaty mess in the 100+ degree heat, change your outfit five times and you won’t have 24/7 access to a pool. Just a patch of grass and an ice bucket if you’re lucky.
– That goes along with having to breathe other humans sweat and dust. Not my thing.
– Everyone is there. And I mean everyone. I am aware that many see this as a reason to go but I’m going to just say for me, it’s the opposite. Not only is every fashion blogger in the world there, but Coachella is just over-crowded AF. I don’t do well in crowds, in fact I avoid them every chance I can. I see it as a huge platform to see and to be seen. But hey don’t quote me on that.
– You won’t have a hangover. Lets be honest, everyone goes to Coachella and drinks (or smokes)… a lot. So the plus to that is you are the one waking up cozy in your own bed feeling 100%.
– On that note, you won’t have to use a porta potty or public restroom. I’m a germaphobe, just sayin….
– If you thought you could have fun and drink at the festival and it would be a blast, well you’re wrong. If you want to consume alcohol you need to go to a specially designated area far from the regular festival grounds. You can drink there, but while you still hold something alcoholic in your hand you can’t leave the area and you’re completely cut off from the festival.
– What is the food situation? I feel like I never see anyone eating. I mean, I’m not cool going a few days without food.
– Music is priority no. 2. Celebs are there to be photographed by paparazzi and fashion bloggers go to be be photographed by street style photogs. Everyone is doing some form of social sharing to make everyone back home jealous. I mean, it’s true.
– There will be so many floral headbands that you’ll be telling yourself can this trend die already?
– That goes along with how many people you will see taking selfies. If you thought the Kardashians were bad, then well, you’re in for a treat.
– Okay who the F actually knows half of the bands that are actually playing there?? I mean I’d like to think I don’t live in a bubble but I’ve never heard of Bane’s World, KITTENS, Sudan Archives, Wizkid and Talaboman. I could keep going but that might take up a whole page.
– But for real, what is the food situation?
– Last but not least, there are about 32810944 things I’d rather spend between $500-$4500 on. Sorry not sorry.

I’ve never gotten the fuss over Coachella, but living in Australia it’s even less accessible for me! Great points xx
