For those of you who have ever wanted to start a blog and just don’t know where to begin let me be the first to tell you, it isn’t all as easy as you think it may be. There really are a ton of random tasks that come along with running a blog from actually writing the blog, managing the website itself, design, content creator and somehow find the time to take pictures, edit and well.. you get the point.
Trust me, I have done it all and I started it all while maintaining another job during the day so I definitely know the hustle. With that being said here are some of my best time saving blogging hacks for those of you in need.
SHOOT PHOTOS IN BLUK
If you take photos for your blog, it can be so tricky and difficult to find time to actually take individual photos for each separate post. Instead what I do is I set aside a day each week where I shoot ALL photos in bulk rather than just one off here and there. In all honesty, this does require a bit of planning ahead but trust me, shooting in bulk saves you SO much time and not only cuts down the shooting process but also the editing process as well.
BE SMART ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Listen, I don’t know how in the world it happens but one minute you are scrolling through your IG feed and the next minute you are stalking your ex boyfriend’s sister’s mom and wondering how in the world you got there to begin with. Not only this but I have spent so many hours looking at all these beautiful women and successful bloggers out there only to feel unmotivated, overwhelmed and just plain down on myself. So now? I only follow a very small amount of people on my instagram and I try to limit my time on social media as much as I can.
USE A LIGHTROOM PRESET
I absolutely LOVE Lightroom. If you take a lot of your own photos (whether it be work or pleasure) I highly suggest you guys think about getting Lightroom. It isn’t free but it’s totally affordable. The Adobe photography package is only about $10/month and it includes photoshop which is an awesome addition. I love using Lightroom presents as a way to cut down editing time. There are so many available presets these days from people so you can really find an aesthetic for your photos that you love. This is an awesome hack if you are looking to instantly take your photos to the next level without spending too much time!
WRITE A PLAN
I literally cannot live without writing a list daily. I love making notes of ideas for blog posts as soon as I think of them. This way, it helps stop you from getting writer’s block when you are unsure what to write about on your next post. I actually have a nice planner that I jot everything down in including my “to-do” lists for the day and in the back there are tons of empty”notes” pages to write down my ideas as they come to me. My planner is always with me which is why I love using this method but if you are more of a digital person, try to use your “notes” app to do so as well!
What other hacks do you guys have to improve your blogging efficiency? I’d love to hear!

These are awesome tips! It’s no joke how much time running a blog takes. I really had no idea when I started and there’s more times than I can count wanting to throw down the towel. I think social media is the bulk of where I don’t want to spend my time. So I am finally realizing to limit myself when on IG. It really does suck a lot of time.
