I would love to workout everyday, to go to meet up with friends everyday, to get my life in order, to clean the ins/outs of my home, the take my dogs to the park or for a hike, to see my mom & dad everyday and please everyone but you know what I’m coming to the realization of? I just can’t do it all and run my company and be a good business person/dog mom and all the other things that are expected of me and that I expect of myself. And that is what I want to share with you today. One simple truth that I think many people, especially those of us still early in our careers, forget: You can’t do it all.
As an entrepreneur running multiple businesses, I have a lot to juggle and it can seriously become SO overwhelming at times. Between focusing on my main business, my skin care business, writing blog posts, taking photos, answering emails, planning content and then all the “life” stuff there’s just a lot on my plate. I honestly found myself last week broken down and just feeling lost. Feeling like I’ve let my friends, my family and myself down but that’s honestly because I am my worst critic and want to be the best version of ME, if that makes sense.
Although it’s hard for me to tell myself this – every now and then, slow down and take a deep breath. Feel proud of what you’ve created. Yes, there are a million items on your to-do list, but it’s important to take quiet moments to slow down and appreciate the work you’ve put in and what you’ve grown. Pressing pause often allows a sense of clarity that isn’t available when you’re stuck in the weeds, so savor it. It might give you a new idea, a fresh way of thinking, or allow you to recognize a solution to a problem you hadn’t thought of before.
So for anyone who has ever been in the same boat as me, felt overwhelmed, lost or just been pulled in way too many directions – remember you are not alone, you can’t do it all and it’s OK.

Agreed Olia. I think in today’s society there’s so much competing for our time. This weekend I had the unexpected happen and was forced to slow down. I wasn’t mad about it. It was a nice change of pace. Great post to remind us what’s really important.
