Do you guys ever have moments when the world just feels like it’s caving in on you and you don’t know what you did to deserve it? Then at other times life just seems so perfect and it all makes sense?! We live by constantly making mistakes, changing our paths and directions in life and judging our each and every move but somehow at the end of the day we realize why it’s better that things didn’t work out the way we originally hoped it had.
Am I right?
Sometimes when you look back and think on what’s happened thus far, you understand that everything in your life must have happened in order for you to exist. You would not be the person you are now if any of your past experiences were different. Even the tiniest (or most unpleasant) events have a way of shaping us into the people we are meant to be today.
Let’s talk heartbreak. Ugh, it SUCKS, right? I swear a broken heart is one of the most difficult things to have to deal with in life. I’ll be honest – I’ve had my heart broken a couple times and it hurts,.. SO much, but I will say, every single time has turned out for the better in a weird way. Having your heart broken honestly stays with you until someone else mends. I do believe it is one of most debilitating moments in life but it’s a very necessary one to go through to realize what you need most.
Failures is another thing. The moment you realize if you hadn’t failed miserably, you would have never learned your lesson. People fail all the time and even though it doesn’t feel like it in the moment, failing is one of the greatest things in the world and reminds us how much we need to learn in order to become the people we wish to be. I truly believe that if I had never failed in life thus far, I would have never succeeded to be where I am today.
Does that make sense?
What about purpose? It takes some people longer than others to arrive at their purpose in life. It’s not anyone’s fault it’s just something that takes time. I’ve talked about this many times in the past that I felt SO lost when I was younger because I never truly felt I had figured out what I wanted to do with my life or found what I was supposed to do. Experiencing that moment of realization, realizing that what you once thought was your purpose in life actually was not at all, it an incredible feeling. It’s important to realize that we often fail at reaching our “dream job” because at the end of the day there is something greater waiting for us.
So next time you’re feeling down and confused why things aren’t working the way you truly hoped they would, just think back to this post and I promise you the best part of life is realizing that there is a reason why it’s better things didn’t work out. It will all make sense eventually. <3
