Although I’m ready for this to be over, I’m also thriving during self isolation, is that weird? I’m sure my introverted-ness has something to do with it but I will say, if you can learn to love being alone, then your life can radically transform.
Being alone gives you time to explore “you”
When you’re constantly around family, friends, and peers, you will always do what the group wants to do. Whether you like what is happening or not, it is not 100% up to you what happens.
When you’re alone, you have the freedom to do exactly what you want to do. You may not know what you like to do, which can be scary, but that is okay. During quarantine, I’ve learned a lot about things I like/dislike, I’ve taken on new projects around the house, I’ve been creative and realized a lot of things I am actually capable of doing on my own and that makes me overall really happy.
Spending time alone allows you to reflect on your own life.
Being alone gives you a chance for some much-needed introspection. I know, I know, we’re on like week 6 of this thing and probably everyone is sick of self reflection by now but hey, you can never stop learning, right? When you spend time alone, you have time to reflect about where you’re at in life and where you want to be. You will figure out what changes you need to make, you will find answers to big questions and gain a better understanding of what you desire in life. This is an especially great time to get these answers together, hit the reset button and plan how to tackle your goals moving forward.
Alone time makes you stronger.
Hear me out. Being alone strengthens you in the best possible way and you discover what you’re truly capable of. When you spend time alone, you are utterly dependent on yourself to tackle any & every obstacle that comes your way.. even if it may just mean killing that pesky spider all on your own.
Alone time can help you have a better life (in my opinion).
When you learn to love being alone, you will see your natural capabilities. Being alone allows you to find the purpose of your existence. When you’re alone, no one is stopping you from creating what you are supposed to create in life. When you are alone, you can work towards your goals & dreams and you have the time to create something truly meaningful. When you learn to love being alone, you become empowered to make positive changes in your own life and you learn that you need no one else to be the strongest and best version of yourself.
