As you guys know I’m big into home decor and have had a long working relationship with my backyard – haha. Currently I’m in the process of building a pool but it feels like it wasn’t too long ago that I did my full backyard renovation and I’m always looking to make it better and better.
One thing I’ve learned through the years is that outdoor elements can have a big effect on your furniture which is why I’m not a huge fan of spending a fortune on outdoor pieces. I just feel that with dirt, wind, rain, dust, spider webs and bird poop (yep, I said it) it just really is impossible to keep your outdoor furniture in tip-top shape. Of course, you can obsessively cover all your furniture day and night but I truly feel that defeats the purpose of having a beautiful outdoor space that you can enjoy any time of the day, if that makes sense. I have always lived by the motto: the home lives for you; you don’t live for the home.
With that being said, I have found some amazing spots to shop for affordable outdoor furniture that won’t break the bank as well as some of my current favorite pieces.
I actually never thought Home Depot would have “cute” furniture. That was until I was bored one day and started browsing their site and found myself gushing over the latest offerings. Here are some of my current favorites:
Target
Probably my absolute FAVORITE spot to shop for all things home furnishings at an affordable price. In fact, the table featured in my photo is from Target. I absolutely love browsing through all of the new arrivals that grace Target’s website season after season, and the retailer’s outdoor pieces are no exception. On the site, you’ll find curated furniture sets from Target’s exclusive furniture brands including the modern Project62, the traditional Threshold and the bohemian Opalhouse
Wayfair
Wayfair is possibly the most well-known online furniture shop. The site has a wide selection of products in every price range and is filled with tons of customer reviews, with people commenting on both the look and the quality of each piece (some even adding pictures of how they used the piece in their home). The same goes for the vast options you’ll find for patio furniture and outdoor decor on the site.
I have a set of 6 outdoor chairs surrounding my fire pit that I got from Wayfair. I’ll be honest and say while they aren’t the world’s most amazing chairs, they are cute and were insanely affordable. I knew they weren’t going to be used often so I wanted something that could just withstand the weather and not need a ton of “tending” to. These were perfect.
Amazon
Like everything else you need, you’ll find a nice selection of patio items and outdoor furniture at Amazon. Aside from third-party sellers, Amazon also has a few furniture lines of its own: the farmhouse-inspired Stone & Beam and the more modern Rivet. Plus, with free overnight or two-day shipping on select items thanks to Amazon Prime, your patio upgrades will arrive in no time.
Walmart
Known for its low prices, Walmart carries affordable patio furniture and outdoor decor. Shopping for what you’re looking for is easy with options to search by style, material, and brands available. Although the big box store has its own exclusive furniture lines, there are many third-party sellers on Walmart, so be sure to check the reviews for legitimacy before you buy.
