Since you guys had requested me doing more makeup tutorials I thought I’d put together a little copper makeup tutorial since I’ve actually been wearing this look a TON lately! Surprisingly I think it is a very versatile look and can be worn for daytime easily but then you can build on the color for a more intense night look. So let’s get right into it.
– Apply foundation all over skin with a beauty blender. I am using the Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation by Too Faced and this is honestly one of my absolute favorite foundations to date. I don’t know what it does but it totally gives an airbrushed finished look in my opinion. You can use any method you prefer (brush, fingertips, etc..) to apply the foundation but I swear by a beauty blender. I prefer getting it slightly damp and then pushing the product in to give that really flawless look.
– Cover up dark circles and any blemishes with your favorite concealer. I have been loving the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer because it’s not too heavy and doesn’t seem to get stuck in any kinds of fine lines. I love that it is a concealer that brightens, corrects and perfects for 16-hour wear.
– I always set my T-Zone area with the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. To be honest I have yet to find another translucent powder that works as well as this one.
– Contour. I don’t always contour but I thought for this look I would. I am totally obsessed with the Fenty Beauty Match Stix Matte Skinstick. One of my favorite shades is Truffle for my skin tone. I like to apply contour on my nose, hallow part of my cheek and around my hairline.
– Blend contour in using the same beauty blender used in no. 1.
– This step is not necessarily a “must” but when I’m going all out with makeup I just enhance the contour a bit with a bronzer. One of my all time favs is the HOOLA Bronzing Powder for adding a little more contour definition. Basically, I just go back over the parts that I used the stick on to intensify it a bit more.
– Can’t go a day without blush in my life! I just received the Jouer Cosmetics Bouquet D’Amour Blush Palette and I’ve been using it non stop! There are the prettiest colors that I like to mix together and layer for a really pretty cheek color. In today’s tutorial I mixed “Know Me” and “Adore me” for this color.
– Highlight is one of my favorite things! I love to highlight the bridge of my nose, high points of the cheek and cupids bow. Used Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Highlighter and a fan brush to do so.
– For the eyes I went in with Urban Decay On The Run Mini in Detour for this copper look and I’m obsessed with how the colors mix together! First I applied “Detour” in the crease then went in with “Confidential” in the outer corner and blended it all together well. Finally I used my finger to pop off “16th St.” right onto the middle of my lid.
– Finish off the eyes with a little mascara on the top and lower lashes. Current obsession: Lancome Monsieur Big Mascara – so so good!
– Lips for the final touch! I love the NARS Lip Color Duo to line and fill in my lips. I used shade Intriguing and I absolutely love it!
Voila! The final look! I feel like you can wear this for the day and also intensify the color a bit more for a night look.
