Denim on denim is nothing new to most of us and the trend truly isn’t going away anytime soon. Sometimes it can be a bit intimidating to figure out how to style two denim pieces together but I’ve got you guys covered. Here are a few of my double denim rules you need to know.
Try Different Color Hues
If you are a novice on this denim game, try pairing two contrasting shades, which is for sure to produce a subtler take on the look! A blue denim blouse with white jeans make the whole combo a bit more modern.
Make it Monochrome
To be honest, wearing the same wash from head to toe is not suitable for everyone, but it does work best to create a streamlined silhouette. Dark washes have a slimming effect, so remember to choose the black jeans that hug your curves perfectly. I love opting for a tight fitted shirt or crop top and then pair over it a same colored denim jacket for a full pulled together look.
Layer Up
If you’re scared to wear two different denims as a whole look, try layering them on top of each other instead similar to what I’ve done in today’s post. Also, don’t forget to add accessories. Roll up your sleeves and dress up your bare wrists with a bracelet or two. I like to stack gold bracelets together and roll up any long sleeved denim tops to showcase it!
