Expression is Everything

Emotions are a key part of being human. In fact, expression is what seems to be a thing us women know a LOT about and can sometimes get us in trouble with in relationships. Ha! However, we are all born to feel and express many kinds of different emotions. When you express the way you truly feel, it can relieve the pressure and the stresses that come with everyday life.

I don’t know if it is a blessing or a curse but I truly have a hard time hiding my emotions. I wear them on my sleeve (quite literally in today’s post). Sometimes I’m labeled as an emotional person but hey, I’d rather be than than not. To me, expression can be a very effective way of forging stronger relationships with other people, learning to be honest with yourself and truthful with other people.

Let’s be honest, life these days is completely hectic and people seem to have forgotten how to express themselves entirely. To me, there are different ways of expressing yourself whether through creative pursuit or by speaking your heart out. I have to admit I’m kind of a combination of both. I definitely speak my heart out but then I also have that creative side of me that comes here to the blog and writes or wears clothing that expresses how I feel. Almost everything we do interestingly is a way that express a lot about us.

With all that being said, today I’m simply wearing how I feel in this bold Old Navy look and expressing something I try to live by daily and that is spreading kindness. All too often I come across people who are just so angry, upset, and mean to one another. I’ve learned it’s takes ten times more energy to be mean to someone than the opposite. So next time you are having a rough day and taking it out on someone else just think back and remember — nice is the new cool.
