Eyelash Extension Alternatives

As you all know, there has been the craze of eyelash extensions. Perfect eye-makeup takes much of time, expertise and effort. Eyelash extensions reduce the hard work of eye-makeup and well, honestly they can look amazing. I personally can’t wear lash extensions because I have a severe allergic reaction to the glue and my eyes get incredibly itchy and uncomfortable. So for me – lash extensions are off the table. I also prefer a little more of a natural look so I like to opt for options that can give me that. Regardless what you are looking for, I wanted to give you guys a rundown of some of my favorite eyelash extension alternatives.

Lash Singles

Lash Singles are eyelashes that you can fit in where needed among the real eyelashes you already have to get the look you want. They may be used one time or are reusable. You can spend a bit higher to get a set of single lashes that can be reused again if desired.

Fiber Mascara

Fiber mascara makes your eyelashes extended and longer. This a great option if you can’t spare much time for your eyelashes. The fiber mascaras may be more expensive than the traditional ones but they can give you a more dramatic look in just a minute.

Lashify

This is by far my favorite alternative to lash extensions! I’m completely hooked and this will be my “go-to” for years to come. Basically if you are not familiar, Lashify is an at-home DIY eyelash extensions that, if applied properly, can last anywhere from three to five days. Here’s how it works: You receive a control kit with two sets of lashes which they call gossamers, their dual sided bond, a patented applicator wand, and an adhesive sealant that magically removes residual stickiness on the glue. They offer tons of videos on how to apply and trust me, it’s SO easy once you get the hang of it and the best part? You can make them so much more natural looking like I prefer and I never feel like there is a THING on my lashes. Totally hooked!

Growth Serums

Instead of adding fake lashes and mascaras, you can nourish what you already have with a serum. Eyelash Growth Serums help your eyelashes grow naturally to give you that dramatic look in the long run without having to do repetitive tasks or procedures. I use a growth serum regularly just to nourish my lashes and definitely notice a difference!

Lash Lift

A lash lift is essentially a perm for your natural lashes. It is a relatively low-maintenance process that lifts and curls lashes long-term. For those looking to shave a little time off of their morning routines, this might be a treatment to consider. I have done lash lifts in the past however I do feel if you do not nourish and take care of the lashes significantly regularly after, the lashes tend to become frizzy and “wire-y” once the perm begins to wear off. It took my lashes a while to get back to normal after. So I’d be cautious and make sure you do your research.
