Can you guys believe we are already talking fall skin care? Where did the time go?! Regardless, with the change in seasons means that your skincare routine definitely needs to be tweaked and re-adjusted slightly which is why I wanted to write today’s post to remind you all of a little fall skin refresh.
When I moved into my new house, I made sure to add my MAIN skincare products to my top two drawers in my bathroom. Trust me, I went from having a LOT of drawers in my old place to having to make some cuts when it came to skincare. One line that stayed at the top of my skincare routine (and took the majority of my bathroom drawer) was Vichy of course. I’ve raved about their products many times in the past and with the change in season, it is no different.
For fall, I’ve restructured my regimen and added another key product while still incorporating a couple Vichy items I’ve talked about in the past. Now more than ever, since I’m in my 30s, I’m definitely focusing on anti-aging in my skincare routine while still getting all other benefits.
My fall skincare routine has been starting as follows:
I typically begin by applying the Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Serum: Brightening Skin Corrector which is formulated with 15% Pure Vitamin C and Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid. You can read more about it in this more in-depth blog post I did a few months back. The Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Serum is a concentrated anti-aging skin care treatment that helps brighten and firm the skin in just 10 days. Remember: a serum is not a traditional moisturizer, it is a more concentrated formula that is meant to be applied before other products in your regimen. I put 4 to 5 drops of the Vichy LiftActiv Vitamin C Serum in the palm of my hand then use my fingertips to apply it to my skin (avoiding the eye area).
After this I apply about two drops of one of my absolute favorite products that I cannot live without – Mineral 89. Mineral 89 is formulated with Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid and the highest ever
concentration (89%) of Vichy’s Mineralizing Thermal Water. For those of you not familiar, Vichy’s Mineralizing Thermal Water is uniquely rich in 15 minerals to fortify and protect the skin from daily aggressors like pollution, stress and fatigue. The Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid (within Mineral 89) can hold up to 1000x its weight in water, leaving skin hydrated and plumped!
For those of you worried about what you are actually putting on your skin, well you don’t have to worry with these products at ALL! Both are formulated with only 11 ingredients – no nasties. They are free from parabens, silicone, oil and
fragrance.
After this, I finish everything by applying the Vichy LiftActiv Supreme moisturizer. This has become one of my favorite moisturizers for anti-aging! After just one month of using it you literally notice the skin looking visibly firmer. It is formulated with Rhamnose, a naturally derived plant sugar, proven to boost
overall skin structure and correct the effects of skin aging. Rhamnose is a powerful anti-aging ingredient that can be used on sensitive skin and for women who are pregnant or nursing. I find that the LiftActiv Supreme keeps me hydrated and while also providing a nice base for me to apply my makeup for the day as well.
