Let me start off by saying I am not advocating nor encouraging anyone to actually do this themselves but because I had so many people asking me how I did this, I decided I’d write a quick post on it. The photo above is without any mascara or filters so you can zoom in and see the effects of the lash lift immediately after. I do believe this is the same type of kit that people use when they do their brow laminations as well and I believe you follow the exact same procedure (except on the brows of course).
Okay so to begin, I purchased this kit from amazon. I would say it has given me about 3 treatments. So for the price of about $37 you get quite a few “lash lifts” out of it. I’m sure there are a bunch of other kits out there but this is personally the one I have used.
The kit comes with these silicone pads and this is what you use to “adhere” your lashes to during the process. Doing it to yourself can be a little bit tricky so you have to do one eye at a time and be very careful. I cut the silicone pads down a bit since they were a little too large for my eyes and it worked out perfect. Then you use the glue included to stick your lashes to the pad and begin adding each chemical to it. If I’m being completely honest, it’s not at all comfortable because you have one eye open and one closed so you have to be ok with doing literally NOTHING for a good hour or so. I just followed all the directions on the box, completed one eye, switched over to the other and did the exact same thing. Voila!
Again, be super careful and of course if you are not a “do it yourself” type don’t even bother trying it. There are plenty of amazing lash techs out there that can do this procedure for you. In CA we have had crazy lockdowns so I was just bored and desperate at this point! Enjoy!
