There’s nothing worse than waking up and feeling tired but then you look in the mirror and realize you look completely out of it. In my opinion, the eyes are the first thing to give off that you are tired, not well rested or maybe just overall stressed. Your face says it all. So, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite tips on how to ensure your eyes look fresh and rested. Hope you enjoy.
HYDRATE – Make sure to replenish your body with a nice full glass of water right when you wake up. I also think increasing your water intake throughout the day can help significantly. When it comes to topical hydration, I love a great moisturizing mask or sheet mask. I love using one with hyaluronic acid since it keeps skin plump and hydrated. Usually I’ll leave the mask on for a while (at least 15 minutes) to really help my skin absorb everything. Then, once I remove it I spend some extra time massaging any extra product into my face.
CIRCULATION – I love using a jade roller to reduce puffiness. The cold temperature helps to tighten swollen skin and it also helps to jumpstart lymphatic drainage, since fluid can pool under your eyes while you sleep. Make sure your pillow props your head up enough that you’re not lying flat; that’s when fluid doesn’t circulate properly, leading to the gathering of under-eye bags in the first place.
LIMIT SALT INTAKE – Foods with a lot of sale can lead to swelling everywhere. Load up on vitamin B-rich foods like spinach and foods that contain potassium (i.e. bananas, sweet potatoes) since they can all help reduce bloating.
USE AN EYE CREAM – I always always always tell people to use an eye cream! It seriously can help SO much. Apply three dots of an eye cream that specifically targets dark circles and/or puffiness. Gently dab with your finger until fully absorbed.
MIX ILLUMINATOR INTO FOUNDATION – Although the eyes always give away that “tired” look, you can really help your face by adding a little liquid illuminator to your foundation to help brighten the skin and take away from the eyes. This will help give you that rested glow. Gently press foundation and illuminator into your skin and guaranteed you’ll feel instantly more refreshed.
BRIGHTEN INNER CORNERS – Applying a lighter toned eye shadow the the inner corners of your eyes will instantly make your eyes appear brighter and more awake. Feel free to lightly blend a little bit below your inner corner as well, to create a more doe-eyed look.
WEAR SUNGLASSES – Not only do they protect your eyes from UV damage, but they can shield your eyes from the glare of the sun, wind, dust, and other environmental conditions that can encourage puffy eyes.
Do you guys have any other tips?? Let me know!

Love this post and all your others:) I’m curious which Jade Roller you recommend? I’ve heard that pure jade is best… that a lot of rollers are made with glass to look like jade..
I’m having a hard time choosing 1. Do I get a $90 one or one on amazon?

Congrats on all your success

I don’t think you need to get the really spend that much! It’s mainly for circulation and all of them work great! I think I purchased one for around $20-25! Let me know if you can’t find one !
