Bojour from Vichy, France everyone! I apologize for the lack of blog posts here it’s been SO hard with the time change and Wi-Fi has been a little spotty here but I promise I’ll be back up and running like normal in no time! We have been having so much fun already here in France and it’s SO amazing to be here considering French is my heritage! I’m speaking French with all the locals and it just makes me feel at home in a weird way. I’m working on creating a bunch of content for you guys to see later so I’ll create a fun post when I return of everything. In the meantime, make sure to be following me on Instagram and Insta Story for all the fun behind the scenes!
Today is all about how to wear a midi dress. This can be a SUPER challenging one for some people because it is easy to look frumpy in this style, if that makes sense. You’re not showing off your legs much sits it hits mid-calf but it all actuality a midi dress can be SUPER flattering and actually one of my favorite and elegant dresses to wear.
Basically a midi dress is any dress that hits below the knees but yet is still shorter than a maxi dress. It can be argued however that its not supposed to hit the middle of the calf but I throw those rules out the window. A midi dress is a midi dress to me.
In all honesty, I think that what type of shoes you choose to wear is the biggest challenge of all when it comes to this type of cut since it can really make or break the outfit. I always suggest that if you are wearing a hem which is longer than knee-length but shorter than a maxi, always wear heels. Midi dresses can have a tendency to make you look shorter and stumpier because they cut across the leg at its widest part, and this is the reason so many people find them very unflattering but if you add a tall heel you instantly elongate the leg making it totally WORK.
Find what type of fit of midi dress works for you weather is loose, bodycon or flare and I can be you’ll find a style that works for you!
xoxo
