As you guys know, I’ve been in full home renovation mode these days and one of the first things I did to my new home was update the closets. I mean, it was a necessity – haha! One, I’m a girl and own a LOT of clothes – Two, I’m a blogger and three, I’m incredibly OCD and need everything neat and tidy. I wanted a closet organization system that would look not only look aesthetically pleasing but work for me in all aspects. I wanted ways that I could customize my space (i.e. drawers, shelves, pull outs etc..) and I wanted it all in a way where well I wouldn’t break the bank entirely and lets be honest, when you first buy a new home, saving money where you can is so essential. On top of it — IKEA PAX wardrobe closets might be one of my favorite custom closet options out there as it is.
Here’s why:
*It is completely custom. You get to decide how many drawers, shelves and pull-outs you want in your custom closet. There are options for jewelry/accessories AND nothing is permanent. Say 6 months from now you want to change it, you can easily add additional drawers or shelves etc..
*Like I said, the IKEA PAX wardrobe is an affordable price point. I went ahead and installed the closets in all 3 of my bedrooms and compared it to some of the other options out there and I was shocked how much the other companies charge. I had it installed professionally because I couldn’t see myself doing it BUT if you are handy you can save a lot of money there and IKEA gives you all the directions you need for seamless install.
*Everything glides SO smoothly. The drawers, doors and pull out racks are amazing. I haven’t had ONE issue with any of the closets since install and I am SO happy with the results.
So How Does it Work?
First, measure your closet accurately and head into an IKEA store to design your closet. You can also use the software on their website to design your PAX wardrobe but I found it SO much more helpful by doing it in the store because the staff is SO friendly and frankly, they do this everyday and know what they are doing and can actually save you a ton of time and help you find things you didn’t even know existed! But honestly, each option is great. Once you have your closet put together, it is SO easy. They literally put together your complete order, you take the paper downstairs to pay and then they put together your order for pickup. You can either pick it up yourself (if you have a big truck to do so) or you can have it delivered and it’s as easy as that!
Like I said, I had my closets installed by a handyman who had experience installing IKEA PAX closets but if you are handy yourself, it’s definitely something you can do yourself. If not, you can have Ikea do the install using their Task Rabbit service as well. Once the closet is completed, I highly recommend you head back to an IKEA store and purchase all of their PAX inserts to organize your pull-outs accordingly. They have everything from jewelry inserts to their KOMPLEMENT Drawer organizers and also drawer/scarf organizers as well. It seriously makes everything SO organized and gorgeous.
I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out and would recommend the IKEA PAX wardrobe to everyone over and over again! You truly will not be disappointed!
Big thanks to IKEA for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

Ikea is so helpful, they seriously have the perfect builds – I’ve used them many times since they moved here in 2009, earlier all the measuring or old design/overpriced design implementation with bad instructions was a challenge.
Glad it fits your space because I know you have SO much stuff
Photos are great😏💝

Hi, Did you have mirror sliding doors fitted to your pax? Are they Ikea as well?
Thanks you!

No the doors were already there! So I just planned the drawers according to the way the doors open!
