I get a lot of questions about what I eat, how I cook and so on and well I’m going to be honest. Ever since I discovered the Instant Pot, it has literally been the way I cook 90% of my dishes and it has made my life a breeze. Because I’ve worked my whole “adult” life, I never had taken a huge interest in cooking and to be honest, every recipe always looked so daunting and intimidating that I never wanted to try it. I’ve always stuck to cooking more simple meals but after getting more into health and fitness I started realizing that home cooked meals were the best for me.
I’ve actually always loved using a slow cooker. I love dumping all the ingredients in, press start and in about 6 hours you have a full meal ready to go. The only issue with that is, I sometimes forget and don’t have time to wait 6 hours because I need my food in about 30 minutes. My friend introduced me to the Instant Pot a couple months ago and ever since I’ve been hooked. If you are a busy mom, young professional or just never been super into cooking I highly suggest you get an Instant Pot and here’s why:
Instant Pot makes it possible to whip something up last-minute since it cooks food quickly with little hands-on time.
Most recipes are one pot, thanks to the saute feature. I love, love, love this feature! You can brown your meat in the same pot and then set it to cook under pressure. Less clean up is a total win for us busy peeps. It’s also so easy to whip something up last minute since the food cooks SO quickly with little hand-on time.
I was able to get rid of a ton of my other appliances since this little baby does the work for 7 machines in one! I no longer have my slow cooker nor my rice cooker because this thing does it all.
There are SO many recipes. I swear the internet has gone mad with instant pot recipes and I’m not complaining. So if you are ever in a rut with what to cook, hop online and you’ll find an array of recipes immediately.
I can’t stay I’ve done this yet, but I’ve heard you can cook from frozen. I’m usually pretty good with remembering to thaw out my meat but there DEFINITELY have been those times I realize my meat is still in the freezer when I want to use it and nothing makes me more upset than that! Apparently however, you can cook frozen meats in the instant pot – I’d just suggest googling it to make sure you find the right method!
It has pretty easy cleanup. I’ll be honest, most of the time I hate washing the inner pot but that’s just because I hate doing dishes in general. I will however say I’d rather wash this one item than 6 different pots and pans to achieve the same recipe.
All in all, the Instant Pot has helped me stay away from pre-packaged Trader Joes dinners and I find myself now cooking more regularly in turn helping me feel healthier & happier! Plus, I realized cooking isn’t so bad when it’s made simple! 😉

I don’t have an instant pot but am getting closer to believing I need one. I am a slow cooker kind of gal but I do agree that instant pot has been taking the kitchen scene! Lots of recipes to try. Cute photo btw.
