If you guys remember, about a week ago I shared on Instagram that I was heading to Sephora inside Sephora for a little mini facial and I was SO excited to learn all about the skin care products and get pampered for a bit. Today I’m finally sharing all the details about the experience, what I loved most and why you guys need to hurry up and head to your nearest Sephora inside JCPenney to see for yourself. Letβs dive right in, shall we?!
To begin, let me tell you, the Sephora inside JCPenney is literally AMAZING. I went to the one closest to me here in San Diego (at Fashion Valley Mall to be exact) and oh my goodness this place literally looked like an actual Sephora store you almost forget you are inside of JCPenney! It’s amazing! I love it because you can literally kill two birds with one stone – shop for all your favorite things at the department store and then head over to the Sephora to shop all the beauty must haves.
I had an appointment scheduled for a little mini facial which I was SO excited for but you actually don’t need an appointment to get one for yourself and the best part about this whole thing is.. they are FREE! Seriously you guys! Get greeted by the most amazing (and most knowledgeable staff), get pampered for about 15-20 minutes and walk away with healthy glowing skin? I’m all in! Not only this but I learned SO much about my skin and walked away with some new “must have” products that I am now incorporating into my skin care regimen.
During my treatment I wanted to focus on a lot of Natural Acids since that is something I’m a big believer of. If you are not familiar with what this might mean, they are basically super gentle natural acids that actually dissolve away dullness and dead skin. For me, I notice the best results in particular when I use any kind of natural acids on my skin. It gives me a more radiant look and glow which I absolutely love and actually helps all my creams absorb 10x better. One of my absolute favorite products that we focused on during this treatment was the Tatcha Violet-C Radiance Mask, and I noticed a difference IMMEDIATELY following. This mask in particular is a creamy anti-aging mask packed with two types of Vitamin C (which helps with uneven skin tone) and AHAs from seven fruits for that extra soft glowing skin. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that it’s totally “instagrammable,” don’t you think?
I’m actually completely hooked on this mask now, so much so that I have it at home and use it about once a week. It’s THAT good! Another one of the many products I loved during my treatment was the Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Facial Treatment Essence that my SiJCP Education Manager used on me immediately following the mask. This is an amazing treatment essence that protects your skin with antioxidants, enhances luminosity, softens the look of fine lines and replenishes moisture. He applied it in pressing motions on the skin and it really prepped my skin for the next step of serum or moisturizer.
At the end of my treatment I cannot even begin to explain how relaxed I felt and how rejuvenated my skin felt. To be honest, I posted a photo on IG and had SO many of you messaging me telling me that my skin was glowing and I was so impressed you all had noticed the difference. I feel sometimes we really need an extra push to get ourselves out of our comfort zone and to allow someone to take control and show you some new products you may be missing and well, maybe allow yourself to get pampered a bit. I walked away from the experience happy, glowing and with a little Sephora bag full of my favorite products that I couldn’t leave without and knowing this is an experience I will do again in a heartbeat!
