If you’ve been checking back here you’ve probably seen I’ve been sharing some home posts. If you haven’t gotten a chance to, here is my kitchen and family room reveal as well.
Today I’m giving you guys a look into my Living and Dining Room! As I’ve mentioned previously, my home has a pretty open concept when it comes to the main living area, so you may see some of the other rooms overlapping since they are kind of all connected.
My living room is basically more of a “sitting room” and I’ll be honest, since I live alone and have no TV in that room, it’s not used all the time (hence all the white, haha). I do however like sitting there in the colder months because it is perfect spot when you want to sit by the cozy fireplace.
Speaking of fireplaces, this one was a total revamp. It used to be a very large brick fireplace that was in the middle of the room. It was pretty bulky and really stood out (and I feel in the wrong way). When I purchased the home, I had the fireplace updated – I made it slightly smaller and less bulky than it was so now it resembles a square or rectangle shape. I also had the fireplace tiled so that the brick was no longer exposed and instantly tied it into the rest of the home.
There was also no gas line, therefore I had contemplated for a little while whether to run a line or just use it as a wood burning fireplace, but ultimately the gas line won. I also added a glass door to complete it. Trust me when I say that fireplace was a LOT of work but I absolutely love how it turned out.
Hope you guys like it all! Any links I was able to find are listed below:
