I’m usually not a big time “colored” makeup person BUT I will say, lately I’ve been LOVING playing with a bit of color! I wanted to create a fun pink makeup tutorial for you guys since I’ve been seeing pink a ton these days and to be honest, I feel like it’s a look that can actually be worn pretty easily! Hope you guys enjoy!
– Apply foundation all over skin using a beauty blender. This is pretty much the same method that I always apply foundation although I will do one with a brush soon as well. Either will work, but I feel a beauty blender really gets the product sitting nicely on your skin. Today I used a new foundation I got which was Laura Mercier Flawless Lumière Radiance-Perfecting Foundation and I love the feel of this one on my skin! I then used Maybelline Age Rewind concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes and blended it in with the same beauty blender.
– Set foundation with the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. I always apply this with a big powder brush and lightly dust onto my skin.
– I decided not to contour with a stick but instead just emphasize the areas where I normally would contour using the HOOLA Bronzing Powder for a bit of definition. I apply it right into the hollows of my cheeks, along my hairline and jawbone.
– Because I was doing more of a “pink” look I definitely wanted my blush to pop. I used the same Jouer Cosmetics Bouquet D’Amour Blush Palette I have been featuring lately but just layered it a bit more and added this right onto the apples of my cheeks.
– Now lets move onto the eyes! For this look I went with the Pretty Rich palette from Too Faced and I’m literally obsessed with this whole palette!! To begin I applied Princess Cut right onto the lash line to brow bone.
– Next up from the same palette, I use Highly Selective and apply it right into the outer corner and crease and blend.
– For the last step, I use my finger to push Diamond Glitterati right onto the center of my lid and then I go back in with my same brush to blend out any harsh edges. At the same time I take any excess left on the brush to smoke out my bottom lash line as well.
– To finish off the eyes, I apply a bit of mascara to the upper and lower lashes. I don’t typically curl my lashes but if you’d like to you can do so here as well! I used L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara and it’s honestly one of my top 5 fav mascaras of all time!
– Lastly, find a pretty pink lipstick to top off the look! For today’s look I used NARS Lip Gloss in Pulsion. I love all the NARS lip glosses and highly recommend them!
And that’s it! What do you guys think about a little color when it comes to makeup? Should I do any others? If so let me know what you want to see next! <3
