As most of you know from following me on Instagram, I just got back from a much needed vacation to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico! I stayed at one of my favorite resorts – The Towers at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica! This is actually my 2nd time staying at this resort because it’s just that incredible. I truly feel like it’s a little home away from home and I want to come back every year! This year was even more special because I had the opportunity to take my mom with me and it will forever be a trip I’ll cherish. With so many messages that I’ve gotten on IG about my trip and the hotel itself, I thought I’d do a little recap of what I enjoyed most, the restaurants I went to and my overall experience so if you are looking to plan out your own Cabo trip you could use this post a little guide!
First lets talk about exactly where I stayed: The Towers at Pacifica is an adults only luxury resort within a resort and is absolutely amazing. It features two towers which have 47 guest rooms. They all have enhanced room amenities and the best part?! 24 hour butler service! My butler Luis was absolutely incredible. Literally the most kind, professional and accommodating human I’ve ever met. He even had created the most amazing welcome within my room (as you can see in the images above!). It was all SO impressive. He was there for me throughout my entire stay, making sure I had everything I needed, taking me to and from all the restaurants, checking on me etc.. There’s also a third tower which features an oceanfront VIP lounge which is exclusive only to those staying at The Towers at Pacifica, a beachfront fine-dining restaurant called Peninsula (which was amazing), and a state of the art fitness center overlooking the ocean.
VIP Lounge: So as I mentioned above, the VIP lounge is fantastic. It’s available only to those guests of The Towers which makes it feel very exclusive and private. There’s hardly anyone ever there at a given time and when there is, everyone is very respectful of one another. We actually had breakfast there every morning because we loved it so much. Right now is the season for whale watching and the VIP lounge was the perfect place to sit and catch a glimpse of all the whales. The entire staff is incredible and they have a menu the whole day if you’d like to eat there. They also have snacks and drinks available all day in the event you just want to stop in and grab something quick. This was one of our absolute favorite spots to decompress and relax. They also held a fantastic wine & cheese pairing event one of the days which was SO fun!
Armonia Spa: I wish I could re-live my spa experience all over again. The Armonia Spa at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica was actually named among the three “Best Spas in Mexico & Central America 2013” by Condé Nast Traveler magazine! Armonia is a full-service spa offering a comprehensive menu of wellness-oriented body treatments, massage therapies, a fitness center, beauty salon, his and her locker rooms and wet areas. We had 2 body massages and it may quite possibly have been one of the best massages I’ve ever had! I truly didn’t want it to end! Highly recommend a spa treatment while there!
Pool/Beach: Every day while there, it’s no surprise we spent all day by the pool and beach. Highly recommend getting a cabana on the beach as it’s a complete experience in itself! You get a server and can order whatever you’d like (lunch, drinks etc..). When we felt we needed to dip into the pool, there are 2 different pools available on the property. One is larger is does have a bar in the middle and the other slightly smaller and bit more quiet and calm. Both are beautiful and amazing. We usually would dip in, swim a bit and then return to our cabana because let me tell you – the view from the cabana is incredible. We had lunch there, incredible drinks and were treated beyond imaginable. If there’s one thing I can tell you all – the hospitality at this resort is unmatched.
Now lets move onto all the yummy FOOD! I have to say my mom and I were SO impressed with the meals we had. Not one thing we had disappointed the entire trip so I definitely wanted to recap my experience. Like I mentioned above, the VIP lounge was amazing and where we got most of our breakfast meals and snacks. For lunch we usually just ate at the beach but for dinner we were majorly spoiled. Here were our absolute favorite spots that will forever hold a special place in my heart (..and stomach):
Peninsula: The first night we had dinner at Peninsula which is the luxury restaurant at Pacifica. The environment is absolutely gorgeous and serene. It’s located right on the beach with a unobstructed view of the ocean. It features traditional Baja favorites. Very romantic setting and food was absolutely delicious.
LaFrida: Okay, after my first time eating at LaFrida (my first trip) I was DYING to go back. I was thrilled to be able to get a reservation there so that my mom could experience what I had been going on and on about. LaFrida is located at Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach and oh my goodness you guys, it’s SO WORTH IT. It’s an absolute incredible restaurant. Chef Carlos remembered me from the last time and I was actually giddy and he created a personalized dinner for us and we were speechless. LaFrida does not disappoint, I’m telling you. Every single dish has flavors that are to die for. It’s non greasy, fine dining absolutely incredible food that you will be talking about for a long time. Everyone there, Chef Carlos, our server, the manager Miguel – I cannot thank you enough over and over again.
Quivira Steakhouse: If you’re not sick of me raving about the food yet – read on. I had never been to Quivira Steakhouse before hence why I was so excited to try it. First of all, the location – absolutely incredible. If you book a dinner around sunset, I’m warning you – your jaw will drop. The sunset view from here is beyond imaginable (see some images below). We were blessed enough to get a table with a view of the beach and that incredible colored sky and it had us stop in our tracks for a bit. The architecture at Quivira Steakhouse is absolutely stunning. It’s very modern while keeping some traditional elements as well. Now the food – WOW. We got two appetizers – Crab Cake and the Burrata and for the main corse we both got Filet Mignon cooked to perfection. The flavors were insane. Chef Carlos came to make sure everything was to our liking and was so incredibly kind. Then, Armando the restaurant’s sommelier came to give us two wine pairings for our dinner and each one was perfect. This night was the perfect ending to our trip. I highly recommend making a reservation to Steakhouse if you get a chance. You will not be disappointed.
Overall, I’m confident my vacation to Cabo San Lucas wouldn’t even have been 1/10th of what it was had I not stayed at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. It is one of the most breathtaking resorts I’ve ever been to, and I understand why it’s widely considered to be the world’s most romantic resort. I cannot thank the staff for their incredible hospitality and for treating us with the utmost kindness and respect while there. I truly hope to visit every year that I am welcomed back and hope you all will give the resort a stay as well. I know you won’t be disappointed!
