The Perfect Maxi

I believe everyone should own a good maxi skirt – preferably in white! A white maxi skirt is such a classic and it’s perfect for those Spring/Summer months. I especially love them when you just don’t know what to wear and you want to be comfortable and look cute. Let’s be honest, they are also perfect for those “fat” days we all have from time to time. Common you know I’m right! Why, you ask? They are high waisted usually, fall perfectly to not be super form fitting and in turn give you that confidence. I LOVE them. I feel like a good maxi can be worn with SO much so it was important I talked bout it at least once this summer!

Today I paired it with this super cute off white embroidered blouse. It almost gives it the effect that this is a one piece dress which is unique but shows how many different ways you can take a maxi skirt. Because this top is a little loose, I also paired it with a bralette that matched the red embroidery on the front.

One tip I have — when I wear maxi skirts, I usually opt for cropped blouses or tops since I like to wear my maxi skirt higher at my waist. I feel if I wore a long shirt with a high waisted maxi skirt it would make me look frumpy so I always try to think proportionally what works!
