While we all know how important it is to make our face a priority since everyone sees it, body care is just as important. Lets be honest, no one wants a glowy, smooth face and a dry rough body, right? Here are a few tips to get you the perfect body care routine.
Pick the right body wash
Look for a gentle body wash that won’t irritate or dry out your skin. Lather up with help from a loofah, wash cloth, or just your hands, then be sure to rinse off before moving on.
Slough away rough skin
Because the skin on your body is typically tougher than your face, you don’t have to be quite as wary about scrubbing too much or being too careful.
Two to three times a week, make sure to exfoliate your body by adding a sugar scrub into your shower routine and gently massaging the scrub onto your skin. Be sure to focus on your elbows, knees, and heels, which are more likely to have rough patches that need extra exfoliation.
Hydrate from head to toe
After cleansing & exfoliating you should always moisturize afterward. While your skin is still wet from your shower, it’s the perfect time to hydrate your skin. Smooth a hydrating cream or lotion over your body from your neck to your toes, letting it absorb before putting your clothes on.
Get a Sun Kissed Tan
One thing I can’t live with out is a little sun kissed (fake) tan. After my above body care routine is complete, I usually turn to one of my favorite self tanners and add that to the routine. I will usually smooth it on two to three times a week and it helps my skin get a gradual glow over time which I love. This is one of my absolute favorites that I use religiously!
